According to the reporter of the Goftemandarya News website, the second maritime technology and entrepreneurship event (MTS), by Syraf Maritime Academy and the cooperation of Shahid Beheshti University Park of Science and Technology , focusing on smart ports, new technologies in maritime approaches, digital economy in maritime industry and shipping , new technological approaches and intelligentization in the shipping industry will be held.

Following the effectiveness of the first technology and entrepreneurship event of marine industries in 2021, the secretariat of the Supreme Council of Marine Industries and the Ports and Maritime Organization are the main sponsors of this event.

The important parts of the maritime technology and entrepreneurship event (MTS) include: lecture, technology workshop, specialized exhibition, maritime managers' club, face-to-face meeting of industrial owners and technology companies, and introduction of start-ups.

Sharing the knowledge and experiences of specialists and those interested in the marine and maritime industry at the international level, establishing direct communication between technology companies and the owners of maritime and maritime industries, introducing domestic and foreign capabilities, and motivating young innovators and engineers as other goals. This event has been mentioned along with the introduction of new technologies of marine industry and seafaring to the maritime community of the country.

It is worth mentioning that the marine technology and entrepreneurship event dated 27th and 28th Aug. 2023 will be held for two days at the international conference center of Shahid Beheshti University.
